Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Moshi / Arusha — Tarangire National Park
Early departure from Moshi or Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Spend the morning and afternoon on game drives through this magnificent park, where the Tarangire River draws incredible concentrations of elephants, lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra and giraffe during the dry season. Ancient baobabs tower over the landscape creating an iconic African backdrop. Picnic lunch in the park. Continue to your overnight accommodation near Karatu or in the Ngorongoro area. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater — Drive to Serengeti
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive through the world's most intact volcanic caldera. Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra make every hour in the crater a wildlife highlight reel. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Ascend and continue northwest through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti — passing through Maasai bomas, open grassland and the Naabi Hill gate. Arrive in the Serengeti with time for a late afternoon game drive. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite in the Serengeti.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park — Full Day Game Drives
The Serengeti. Africa's most famous wildlife stage. A full day of game drives across the endless plains — one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth. Depending on the season, you may witness vast herds of the Great Migration, river crossings, or resident year-round populations of lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, giraffe and countless plains game. Your guide's expert knowledge of the Serengeti's seasonal patterns will maximise every wildlife encounter. Morning drive, picnic lunch in the bush, afternoon drive and a magical Serengeti sunset. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite.
Day 4: Morning Serengeti Game Drive — Return to Moshi / Arusha
One final early morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing. The golden light of a Serengeti dawn is among the most beautiful things you will ever witness. After your morning drive and brunch, begin the drive back toward Arusha, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in Moshi or Arusha by early evening. Drop-off at hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
