Tour Overview

The complete Tanzania Northern Circuit safari experience. Six days covering all four of Tanzania's most celebrated wildlife destinations — Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. Two full days in the Serengeti and dedicated full days in each other park ensure a comprehensive, deeply satisfying Tanzania wildlife experience.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Moshi / Arusha — Tarangire National Park

Early departure from Moshi or Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Full day game drives along the Tarangire River — elephant herds of 100+ individuals, lion prides, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and extraordinary birdlife in the shade of magnificent ancient baobabs. Picnic lunch in the park. Overnight near Karatu or Tarangire.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Enter through the towering groundwater forest — alive with baboons, blue monkeys and hornbills. The lake shore appears through the trees, edged with flamingos and pelicans. Tree-climbing lions (a unique Manyara behavior) rest in the yellow fever acacias. Hippo pools and elephant herds complete the picture. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro area. Overnight at lodge or camp near Karatu or on the crater rim.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater — Full Day

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at dawn for a full day game drive. The Big Five, black rhino (one of Africa's most stable populations), flamingos on Lake Magadi and the dramatic volcanic walls make this one of the world's most compelling safari destinations. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Overnight on the crater rim or nearby.

Day 4: Drive to Serengeti — Afternoon Game Drives

Depart through the Ngorongoro highlands and across the rolling plains to the Serengeti. Enter through Naabi Hill Gate as the iconic landscape opens up. Afternoon game drives on the Seronera plains with your expert guide, targeting lion prides, cheetah, leopard and the plains game that supports them. Serengeti sunset. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park — Full Day

An entire glorious day in the world's most famous wildlife park. Two game drives — morning and afternoon — with a picnic lunch in the bush. Whether you witness the Great Migration, a cheetah hunt, or simply the quiet drama of life and death on the open plains, today will stay with you forever. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite.

Day 6: Morning Serengeti Drive — Return to Moshi / Arusha

One final dawn game drive in the Serengeti as golden light floods the plains. Depart after breakfast for the return drive to Moshi or Arusha, arriving by early evening.
