Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Moshi / Arusha — Tarangire National Park

Depart early from Moshi or Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Full morning and afternoon game drives through this spectacular park, where the Tarangire River creates an ecosystem of extraordinary wildlife density. Ancient baobabs, massive elephant herds, lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra and over 550 bird species make Tarangire unforgettable. Picnic lunch in the park. Overnight near Karatu or Ngorongoro.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater — Full Day

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa's true natural wonders. A full day on the 260 square kilometre crater floor guarantees extraordinary wildlife encounters. Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hyena, buffalo and thousands of flamingos on Lake Magadi create a wildlife spectacle found nowhere else in Africa. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Overnight at lodge or camp on the rim.

Day 3: Drive to Serengeti — Afternoon Game Drives

Morning departure through the Ngorongoro highlands and across the open plains to Serengeti National Park. Enter through Naabi Hill Gate as the endless plains spread before you in every direction. Enjoy afternoon game drives on the Seronera plains — Serengeti's predator capital — where lion, cheetah and leopard are regularly encountered. Sundowner drinks as the African sun sets over the Serengeti. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park — Full Day

The highlight of the safari. A full day in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives and a bush picnic lunch. Your guide's knowledge of animal movements, predator territories and seasonal patterns turns every hour into a masterclass in African wildlife. The Great Migration (if in season), hunting cheetah, tree-climbing leopard, vast buffalo herds and the incredible birdlife of the Serengeti all combine to create an unforgettable safari day. Overnight at lodge, tented camp or campsite.

Day 5: Morning Serengeti Drive — Return to Moshi / Arusha

Final early morning game drive in the Serengeti as dawn light turns the grassland gold. One last chance for extraordinary wildlife encounters before departing for Moshi or Arusha. Arrive by early evening at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
